Steam Pulp Drying Plant

Steam Pulp Drying Plant and Packaged Pulp Production Facilities are other facilities of Konya Seker, engaged in for stockbreeding. These facilities, which are in Cumra Central Campus, have been established to make use of pulp, which comes out as a by-product after the sugar production process. A similar facility with steam pulp drying technology, which is among the firsts of Konya Seker, completed in 2007, exists only in the USA.

Since the facility dries the pulp without coming into contact with fire, and with steam heat and since there is no burning because the pulp does not come into contact with fire, soot smell does not permeate on the product and it prevents such problems as environmental pollution, which arises as a result of burning. The facility, which uses waste steam, used in the production process, increases operational efficiency and increases expected life of pulp to over two years without losing its nutritional value and deteriorating through this feature. The facility, which produces 30 thousand tons of finished product per year, also exports the products.
