R&D Embryo Research Center

Konya Şeker which aims to provide sustainability in production, established Genetic Research and Embryo Production Center in order to produce more efficient animals by making one more new investment for welfare of producer. In Embryo Production Center, efficiency of meat type breeds and milk type breeds is increased and animal breeding is carried out.

Konya Şeker continues to enrich agro-industrial investments in animal husbandry as well as agriculture. Konya Şeker which started its investments in the field of animal husbandry with Taşağıl Angus Farm and Çumpaş Calf Nursery, produces highly efficient animals in Genetic Research and Embryo Production Center which was established in its own structure. Technical infrastructure was also created for embryo production in Genetic Research and Embryo Production Center established by Konya Şeker.

In Genetic Research and Embryo Research Center established on 800 square meters of large area where donor animals will be placed, sheltering section, embryo collection section (crush room) and laboratories having advanced technology equipment for classifying, freezing and storing embryos were established. Thanks to this infrastructure, both protection against disease-like problems is provided and it is enabled to make more reliable researches. With TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) projects in the center, both experience of technical staff is increased and necessary works are done in order to make embryo production more cost-effective.
